How to use

  • Set the length with the slider and pick the character sets.
  • Click Generate — the password appears instantly with a strength rating.
  • Copy the password with one click.

What is Password Generator?

This generator uses crypto.getRandomValues — the browser's cryptographic randomness — with rejection sampling, so every character is uniformly random with no modulo bias.

Adjust the length and character sets (lowercase, uppercase, digits, symbols) and optionally exclude visually ambiguous characters such as l, 1, O and 0 for passwords that will be typed by hand.

Frequently asked questions

Are generated passwords sent anywhere?

No. Passwords are generated locally with the browser crypto API and never leave your device — the page even works offline.

How long should a password be?

Today's baseline is at least 16 random characters; use 12 as the absolute minimum for accounts that matter. Longer is always stronger.
